Volunteering

Volunteering is....For Everyone
Any one can volunteer; whatever your level of ability or skill, or whether you are working, retired, unemployed or have a disability, there is something out there for you.

Volunteering is....Fun
Volunteering can be an opportunity to get together with other people and enjoy yourself! You could help at a playgroup for disabled children or be playing games at an Age Concern Day Centre!

Volunteering is ....Flexible
There are nearly 200 different opportunities in Maidstone, in the town centre and rural areas and at different times. Many opportunities are completely flexible allowing you to give whatever time you wish.

Volunteering is.... Fulfilling

Helping a local organisation to make a real difference can be very satisfying. Knowing you have made a positive change, however small, to someone's life can really put a smile on your face

Volunteering is....Rewarding

Volunteering can help you develop new interests, open your eyes to new experiences and keep you active and involved.

Volunteering is....Confidence Building

Meeting new people, working with others and helping the community can really boost your confidence.

Volunteering is....Career enhancing

Voluntary work can act as a platform for career development, helping you to learn new skills and enhance your CV.
