Our unique approach

MVB started in 1975. We are still a local charity serving people in the Borough of Maidstone but we have grown and now offer a range of services to organisations and to individual people.

The Volunteer Centre provides an enormous choice of exciting opportunities for people to volunteer. Our developing infrastructure support role for voluntary and community groups means we are able to help local services flourish.

Our frontline services offer assistance to older people, people with disabilities, people with mental health problems and carers.

Whether you want to be a volunteer, need help with writing a business plan for your group or want a driver to take you to hospital, you are most welcome to explore our website and contact us

We produce a bi-monthly newsletter with information about national, regional and local items of interest to the voluntary and community sector. Click on this link for our latest newsletter

Trusted Trades Register 2007 This register has been produced because elderly and vulnerable people need access to home maintenance services from local reputable trades people.  It is compiled from recommendations supplied by voluntary and community groups, Parish Councils, Churches and MVB volunteers and clients.
